Grudzińska-Gross Irena
Grudzińska-Gross Irena (b. 15 December 1946, Gdynia) – literature historian, journalist.
In the years 1964–1968, she studied French at the University of Warsaw. In the spring of 1967, she was actively involved in the collection of signatures in defence of Adam Michnik, for which she was punished with a reprimand by the rector of the university. During the events of March 1968, she was interned for half a year and then sentenced to 1.5 years in prison. She was released after half a year following a country-wide amnesty. She was expelled from university. In October 1969, she migrated to Italy and later moved to the United States. She received her doctoral degree at Columbia University, New York.
