Zambrowski Roman (Rachmil)
Zambrowski Roman (Rachmil) (15 July 1909, Warsaw – 19 August 1977, Warsaw) – political activist, communist, colonel in the Polish People’s Army.
He was involved in the communist movement since the period of the Second Polish Republic. After WWII, he sat in the State National Council and the Polish Sejm. He was a member of the Council of State (1947–1955), the Minister of State Auditing (1955–1956), the vice-president of the Supreme Audit Office (1963–1968). He joined the Polish United Workers’ Party in 1948 and was its member until March 1968, when he was removed from the party and the Supreme Audit Office and superannuated as a “political bankrupt.” He is the father of Antoni Zambrowski.
